Luxury personified (or anyway automobilified), the smoothest of postwar Caddy convertibles will take you where you want to go both geographically and socially. The doors of this 1:18 scale model open, as do the trunk (complete with removable spare wheel) and hood. The faux leather front seats fold forward so well-heeled passengers can get in the back. The sleek, aerodynamic black body is set off with several acres of shiny gold trim. The die-cast metal body is extremely solid, although the plastic accessories, such as sun visors and hood ornament, could easily be broken by a small child with a less than aristocratic driving style. Don't even think of driving this car without your designer evening wear. --Richard Farr
