About the Author
John van Geldern is one of the most in-demand speakers on the Year 2000 (Y2K) issue. For over 30 years, John has been working with computers and software programs. In 1997, he established a community service web site (www.y2kanswers.com) to increase pubic awareness and to offer resources to solve Y2K problems.
For several years, John has researched and tested various Y2K repair methods for both mainframes and desktop computers. These computer solutions are used by small businesses, banks, manufacturing plants and local/state goverments. His extensive knowledge on the Y2K subject enables him to explain the problem in understandable terms and provide common sense approaches to repairing computer issues and contingency preparation.
John continues to advise and correspond with President Clinton, VP Al Gore, John Koskinen Chairman of the President's Y2K Committee, and senior Congressional Committee Chairs like Sen. Bob Bennett and Congressman Stephen Horn. Many of his suggestions and contingency plans are under consideration.
