He's right on the money! The year 2000 (Y2K) problem may raise the following legal issues, as well:

* Contractual specifications and warranties
* Uniform Commercial Code implied warranties
and remedies
* Negligence
* Fraud
* Professional malpractice, e.g., something called "computer malpractice"
* Copyright infringement, e.g., making derivative works to circumvent the problem
* Developers'/providers' duty to disclose possible deficiencies to clients
* Insurers' duty to defend and/or pay claims under CGL and other policies
