More from Leisure Arts,

This review is from: A Year of Afghans (Bk. 4) (Paperback)
I have a pretty good collection of Leisure Arts books. This one was pretty predictable, but good. The directions are easy to follow as usual, and the designs range from trendy to country. There are some interesting color combinations, and as usual a good range of stitches. I thought it was a good book for someone of any skill level.

This review is from: A Year of Afghans (Bk. 4) (Paperback)
Published in 1999, this collection of 52 afghans is beautifully done.
Such a variety! Some patterns will use your scraps. A number are portable squares or other shapes you put together. Several are done on the diagonal. Some unusual ripples are included. There are strips and panels as well as pretty one piece designs. Using 2 or more strands of yarn are required for some designs. Many would be suitable as wedding gifts. There are a few designs for babies and kids. There are a couple intended for Independence Day and for Christmas. If one has an eye for color changes, this collection is timeless. |
