Editorial Reviews

Year of the black rainbow is available here as a cd/dvd limited edition with a bonus 'making of' documentary aptly called every end has a beginning. The new record is the eagerly awaited prequel to "The Amory Wars" tetralogy and features the studio debut of Coheed and Cambria drummer Chris Pennie (formerly of Dillenger Escape Plan), who has been playing alongside Sanchez, guitarist Travis Stever and bassist Michael Robert Todd since 2007. The album is produced by Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction) and Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool).

this album can only be described as the Manchurian candidate of Coheeds catalog. its a sleeper cell that isn't truly appreciated until one listens to it in its entirety. i will not lie when i went into the album i skimmed it for singles and didn't really enjoy it like most of the other casual listeners of Coheed I've met. until i listened and submerged myself into the album and from the moment of the first note in the broken to the last note of skeletons live it is an epic of an album if you haven't truly listened to this album. buy it pop it in to you stereo put it on your iPod and lay back and enjoy.
