I bought this book last spring. I had been out of high school 23 yrs. and only had 30 useable credits.

This spring I graduated with a B.S. in Business. I earned over 90 credits in 10 months - after reading the book.

This was just the "kick-in-the-butt" that I needed. Thank you Ms. Long and Ms. Hershberger, from the bottom of my heart. I never fail to mention your book when anyone asks me how I suddenly pulled it all together - and then so fast.

Although over 10 years old and out-of-date, this is still the best book available on the subject of testing out of college, and putting your years of education to use in a straightforward manner toward completing a degree. Schools you can use have changed, and the testing choices have improved (except for using the GRE for testing out.)

Still, a well-written, clear guide to a fast college degree from somebody who's done it, and helped others do the same.

Had this book in the past, it was a great help while just starting my 'continuing education'. Lost the original during a move. decided to purchase another one. The book is written in a sort of diary of continuing education form. The author tells us the various ways she went about getting credits for her degree/s. Shem went into details such as: time for study, cost of class, getting credit for work/life experience etc. If your even thinking about distance/continued learning, don't walk, RUN and get this book!
