Calendar quilt patterns are usually very similar. BUT NOT THE CALENDAR QUILT PATTERNS in this book!! Bev inserts JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE in each of her monthly patterns (eg: instead of just a heart for Feb., she places a bouquet of roses tied with ribbon behind the heart; a delightful teapot and steaming cup for March has additional little cakes with clever embroidery added to the frosting; a lovely June wreath of roses with a bow adorn that block). And to top it off, when you are finished with each of these blocks, they add together to make a QUEEN sized quilt!! Or, if you don't want a big quilt, Bev gives directions to make a great interchangeable wall hanging. Great work, Bev. A GREAT buy for QUILT STORES -- Bev has a disclaimer that allows stores to use her blocks for BOM quilts. Check into that store owners.

I found this book to be most informative, and VERY well written, instructions are easy to follow and will make you a paper piecing pro. The finished product can be a quilt or as the book shows a monthy changeable wall hanging.. I have made 4 of the blocks so far and am loving it, Patterns are even in COLOR! what more could you ask for??. I HIGHLY recomend this book....

Paper piecing is not my favorite craft but these 12 designs might just make me change my mind. There are so many things you can do with these 12 blocks such as make a quilt, make a perpetual wall hanging or make seasonal pillows to name a few.

The book starts our giving general sewing directions such as paper piecing basics and embroidery stitches. Then it goes on to each block. The first thing is a color photo of the finished block. Then there is a material and cutting list. Instructions for creating the block are next, along with the paper piecing template.

This is all you need to create the blocks. Once you have then done, you can create the interchangeable wall hanging block or go one and create your own quilt or pillows. Whatever you decide to do with them, you will know how to do paper piecing when you are done.

I had little experience in this technique but had no trouble following the directions in this delightfull book. I enlarged the patterns for a larger wall hanging. Wow what fun. It was easy and it came out looking like I had been paper piecing forever. The visuals in this book were also a great help. Love It - Great Job!!!

This is a great book. I'm new to paper piecing - but this book has everything you need to get started, and I tried enlarging the designs. They make great wall hangings or perhaps a baby quilt.

This is an excellent book that I saw one day at a quilt shop. I wrote down the name, and looked on Amazon. I found it more that $10 cheaper than in the store!! Yeah!! It's an excellent book and only slightly used, as was stated in the ad.

This book is totally awesome. Every month has a super design. The directions are very easy to understand.

I would really love to buy this book, as the designs on the front cover are exactly what I am looking for in paper-pieced patterns. The only thing holding me back is that there is no cd with it, allowing me to resize the design and print it out. Does anyone know if Ms. Maxvill is planning to incorporate a cd with this book?

This was a used item, but you would not know it...It was in excellent condition and arrived promptly...can't wait to start another new project!!!!
