This album is without a doubt one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time! The music and lyrics are very captivating. This album immediately grabs your attention and doesn't let go. This is one of those rare CDs that you can listen to all the way through because every song is great! I always have it in one of my CD players (I have 3 copies of this CD!) at any given moment. The solo follow up album by Marathon's frontman Chuck Carrier is amazing too!!! This is a band that is going places and I'm glad to see that there are still real musicians out there!!!

If you like music that has a fresh, unique, real sound, amazing lyrics, and a lead vocalist with a voice you could listen to for days on end, then Marathon is the band for you and this CD is one to be in your collection. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to The Year of You. If you like Sister Hazel, Vertical Horizon, Jump Little Children, Splender, or Ben Folds Five, chances are, you'll love Marathon!

This CD and this band are awesome. For those of you that have the first release, you should still buy this one. The new tracks are absolutely worth the money. For those of you who dont have the first release or maybe havent even heard of this band, theyre amazing. The lead singer has an incredible voice and the guitar is great. If you like Sister Hazel, you'll love Marathon.

I picked up this CD 5 years ago and it continues to be one of my favorites. If this band had gotten some top-line producing, I have no doubt it would have made the leap.

The songs have depth and feeling. Wonderful snappy lyrics and a soulful,everyman singer that draws you into the music.

I was amazed then and continue to be at the skillful songwiting. I would have loved more albums.

Skip the other album available, it is poorly produced and most of the songs appear here and in much better quality.

Marathons album, The Year of You, is easily the best debut that I have heard from any band in a long time. Frontman and lyricist Chuck Carriers poetic lyrics about everyday life mesh perfectly with the great sound that the rest of the band (Dan Morris, Tim "The Rig" Turnbow & Mike Roberts) puts out. I never do reviews for stuff like this, but I saw that one of my favorite bands had no reviews for it, and felt it necesary to write one. Just buy this cd and when your friends hear Marathon all over the radio, you can say you knew them before they were big.

This CD is one of my top 10 to pop in the cd player while I am driving down the road. It is a fresh kind of music. The lead singer has an amazing voice. Buy it now...These guys are going somewhere FAST!!!

"The Year of You" is a great album to buy its well worth the money, I suggest everyone buy it.
