5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal, August 17, 2005

This review is from: Year of the Movies (Audio CD)
I found out about these guys at a friends house. Heard it, liked it, been listening to it ever since. I saw them live with Good Charlotte. And then again the week after in a small club. Social Code is definately the best thing since... well.... they're just the best. I've heard a few of their new songs, they're awesome. Can't wait till the next album comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny, May 24, 2005
By
This review is from: Year of the Movies (Audio CD)
I went to school in Edmonton last year and there was a lot of Bullsh*t about them being punk and selling out, get over it, some bands evolve and grow over time. This is a solid CD from beginning to end, well produced with a lot of great hooks. Everything's fine is differnt from when it was released when they were Fifth Season and still remains a great song. Another song that really stood out was "Perfect Grave", a beautiful song that is aruably one of the best on the CD. Worth every penny, glad to support local talent and makes you wonder why a lot of crap gets to be call Canadian when there are bands like this who don't get the recongnition they deserve.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Better Buy It!, July 20, 2005
This review is from: Year of the Movies (Audio CD)
I first saw these guys in Saskatoon SK when they were on the road with Good Charlotte. As soon as they came on stage I knew it was going to be a good show, they played about five songs and they were really good so I decided to buy their CD and every song has been stuck in my head!

4.0 out of 5 stars I got their indie CD, this is for die-hard seekers only!!!!, September 19, 2004

Hard to categorize them. I know they hailed out of St. Albert, Alberta originally. Then they moved to Calgary, Alberta. Fifth Season was their original name. Due to legal reasoning, they switched to Social Code. One song to complain bitterly about comparison: Everything is Fine. They're supposedly those punkies!!!! If you're from Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA and know their indie release, what were those record execs thinkin in their bloody minds of theirs???? Sheesh! Crap Icicle Works' cover on this CD!!!! Guitarist Dave Hesse has left the band. Chris Ruddy from Drive By Punch will be filling in until a permanent replacement can be found. Posted 8/1/2004. Ruddy To Go - Fall Tour. This is forever knowing and revolving. But only for the curious |:-)

I didn't know these boyz were 'till i saw them in calgary at a rocking "out of your mouth" concert. The album is incredible!. It is a must get. Songs you should check out-> "Beatiful", "Perfect Grave", and "Cats & Dogs". If you like the bands "Funeral for a friend" or "Lost Prophets" then you will love Social Code (So.Co)...Pick er up!
