Positive rapping resembles Eminem's style, January 31, 2009
This review is from: The Yearbook: Includes The Missing Pages (Audio CD)
This cd has 19 songs which makes it a good deal for the price. It's an even better deal b/c it's clean Christian rap. I used to listen to Eminem, but his lyrics are disgusting. This is a good alternative. I like the stories told in KJ's songs. Some songs are silly, but overall, it's a nice album that you can listen to with your teenage kids.

What a great CD. Christian hip hop, rap, it's funny and will move you to tears too. Great variety of songs. This guy is really needed to reach people with the gospel.

First Christian Album, March 16, 2009
This review is from: The Yearbook: Includes The Missing Pages (Audio CD)
I have wanted to listen to Christian music for a long time but I don't care for most of it because it tends to be saturated in Rock, Hard Rock, or Alternative. I am a big music lover and listen to most everything, but I like to have a variety. I am more into the beats and music on a song and not so much into lyrics until I heard this album.
This album (and his others, I now own) are more like the hip-hop of the 90's and he is a very talented lyricist. He has been labeled as the Eminem of Christian music, and while he may be Caucasian and sound similar to Eminem, he is much more than that. I find some of his deliveries similar to the likes of LL Cool J, CL Smooth (from Pete Rock and CL Smooth), and other greats of that era.
The lyrics and skits are sometimes humorous while others, when hearing the entire story, are enough to make the hairs raise on the back of my neck. Can't wait to see him in concert.
I would love to find others like him and that style of music. The majority of the beats on all his albums (I own them all now) make it impossible to not bob your head (I Got It I Got It, Say What You Want, Fanmail).
