I purchased this as a gift for my dad. I have to be careful that what I send him my mom will enjoy, as he will play it until it drives her crazy. They both called and said they LOVE the CD's. The variety of mixing older artist with the newer has the perfect blend for both of them to enjoy.

This set includes gospel songs I hadn't heard in years, brought back a lot of memories.

We loved the first two CD's, and the last one we aren't that excited about. It is more choir like and we/my husband really likes the older style country sound especially the hymns and songs he heard while he was growing up. He is a lot country! SMJenkinsbooks

For true fans of old time Christian Country music, this collection is a good find. I loaded them with some others on an I-Pod for my 91-year old mother's birthday and she just loves it. She spends hours listening out on the porch. I enjoy them myself, although I'm not old enough to remember some of them, like Roy Acuff's Grey Speckled Bird. I thing it's a very good value.
