Very interesting book for the Winchester ammo specialist collector. Note that it covers ONLY centerfire metallics, and says virtually nothing about rimfires (except for the early .44 Henry Flat, etc.) or shotshells. This is not a historical volume about Winchester or Winchester guns, but mainly a well-organized effort to show chronologically photographs of what the various cartridge boxes look like. The book's title is exactly what it covers, so if you are looking for more, you won't find it here. I can't say I agree with much of the pricing information presented, but that's true of price guides covering everything else also.

Recommend this book highly. Those of you who are looking for detailed history concerning Winchester Cartridges and Weapons they were used in, this is definitely the book for you. Unbelieveable detail, presented in and easy to follow format. High Quality book and one that will bring countless hours of satisfaction reading and reading again. Hats off to the authors for a job more than well done.
