This diet is really great. It is obviously designed to be a healthier way of life rather than a deprive yourself diet. It contains many fabulous recipes and even has charts of eat this not that including actual brand names, specific products. Since they are not trying to sell you food, you know there is no bias, and that is very important to me. You are not expected to live on water and veggies or exercise an insane amount. It is just a practical plan to get healthy and lose weight. I cannot speak too much on the younger looking skin, although I think I do have a bit of a glow, but that could just be from the joy of a smaller waistline. I have lost over 12 pounds so far(in just about a month), and I have not had that "when will it end" feeling that I normally have when dieting. I highly recommend this book.

Edit: 02/23/14 Today has been 7 weeks. My wife lost 12 pounds and I lost 4. We both count that as success. More importantly we believe we've found a new lifestyle rather than a "diet". The food has been delicious and abundant. We find ourselves hoping that there will be a full cookbook coming next. But we think that we can adapt many of our standards to the criteria of this program. Admittedly, my wife was very passionate about this and really was the driving force to our success and enjoyment of the diet. I'm very confident that if you bring the same committment to this program you will achieve similar results. Be well.

Our full disclosure...we bought the book and workbooks.

My wife and I have been on the diet for 4 weeks. We've just entered our 60's and, while we are in pretty good health, we wanted a plan that would help us shed extra pounds, add to our energy and feed us well as we enjoyed this next adventure in life. The 7 Years Younger Diet has, so far, been perfect. My wife has lost 9 pounds and I've lost 3 (I'm not as focused). I'm not sure we look younger yet but we sure do feel great and are really having fun with the recipes!

The book covers a lot of information about what generally works for good health covering food, exercise, skin care, balance, etc. If you've been on as many diet plans as we have over the years a lot of it is not news. It's an easy and often fun read though and you will have some "ah-ha moments". Most important to us is the diet/food plan itself.

We work best when there is a plan laid out to follow.

Good meal suggestions, but lots of different foods to buy that don't have a chance to get used up in successive meals. Finding I plan 'leftover' meals before making something new so I'm now throwing out food. But some meals are becoming 'keepers'!

It was not a good idea to get the Kindle edition of this book - would recommend hard copy only because of recipes, nutrition info, etc. It just doesn't format well for Kindle and now I will have to purchase the regular edition too.

7 Years Younger The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet Lose 20 Pounds (Or more!) was created by a trusted team of experts at the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. So they know what they are doing! The book is filled with ideas to make your diet plan personalized (meaning it fits your life), has a number of yummy recipes, and has a great system for charting your daily meals and snacks. –
What I really love about this system is that it’s not just a list of eat this and don’t eat that–although those charts are helpful. The book helps you identify your personal goals and needs, and the workbook gives you tips and tricks to help you be successful each week of the weight loss plan. The book is full of motivational goodies: yummy recipes that my entire family will eat, success stories, and keys to the food that will help you look and feel younger. While the workbook helps you chart your food, assess your hunger, and has helpful food reminders. Lately I have been staring at the mirror studying the lines on my face. I’m not sure if those lines have always been there (OK I know they haven’t), but I think they have been slowly been creeping up on my face more and more. So while I am super excited to try to drop a few pounds with this system, I am even more excited to look younger. The book explains all of the foods I should be eating; you know, all of the anti-aging foods you hear about but you are not sure which foods will really help. Well now I have a complete list of these foods and recipes that my family will actually eat.

This book got good reviews so I was very excited. However the foods they want you to eat are not something I would like. The recipes are not easy and my family won't eat them (turkey feta burgers, fusilli bowl) so the book was useless to me.

This book has great information about what our bodies need to function well and what they don't need, but it's very wordy. Took forever to get to the actual diet plan and recipes. Also, some of the recipes are written in recipe form, and some are written in paragraph form. Don't like that!
