I have a set of the cups in the listing photo-- they are the original issue of the cup. The re-issue of the cup, though technically the same size and design, is much MUCH cheaper in make. The handle is smaller and uncomfortable to put your finger through when lifting the cup to drink, and the cup itself is less "delicate" like porcelain-- it is more like a diner mug in thickness (also in color: the originals are white inside, the re-issues are a bit more beige, like diner mug ceramic.) The shapes in my original set were all uniform, while the 6 cups in the re-issue are all of different thicknesses and heights. ALSO, the print of color on the new set is FAR INFERIOR to the original.

I really wanted a set of twelve, for I loved my original cup and saucer set. But the difference in quality is immediately noticeable when the table is set. Clearly, the company has switched Chinese manufacturers, and the product is much poorer. Too bad: they ruined a good thing.

I really regret this purchase.

I had my eye on these cups for a while, and when I got them I was a bit disappointed. They are not bad but for the price, I expected more. They look cheap, and are HALF the size of a regular coffee cup. My first batch arrived broken ( which was quickly remedied by amazon), but seeing them broken, the ceramic looked cheap in quality. The packaging looked cheap and arrived torn and taped up badly. ( in both my first and the replacement).
These are worth about $15-20. Then it wouldn't be a bad buy, but for $40 I expected much more. They look much better in the pictures than in person.

I love this set of teacups! I got them for my daughter to do tea parties with, but also loved them personally once I saw them. They are a standard teacup size (7oz) and the colors are very pretty. My daughter loves being able to have six different colors in the set. The hatbox they come in is nice, as they all are then stored protectively. I do not think they look cheap at all and they are well worth the money. They are also part of amazon's '4-for-3 promotion', which makes it even more worth the price. I have only washed them by hand as the care instructions indicate, and they have so far been very sturdy, durable, and stayed as perfect as when I got them. The colors in the picture are an accurate display; I'd describe the red is a very 'cherry' red, the green is a nice mix of mint and sage, navy blue, cantaloupe orange, cotton candy pink, and lemon yellow. All in all, they are good quality, fun, pretty, and durable.

The mugs were great, very nice and sturdy. Good thing they were sturdy because the packaging was less than desirable. They came in a cute gift box, issue was the lid to the gift box was not secured and the outer packaging had very little to keep the gift box together. All the cups and saucers were out of the "gift box" and in the outer box with almost no packaging.
I'm really surprised that there were no chips or breaks. My recommendation is to tape or wrap twine etc around the "gift box" so it stays shut.

These are very cute cups and saucers. We bought them as individual gifts which we stuffed with goodies and wrapped in cellophane and they were big hits.
