It might be a bit surprising that one of the most celebrated international chillout and lounge music acts released on Elektrolux comes from Switzerland of all places. On the other hand, this is just a logical consequence as it is the only European country with four official national languages.

With their debut album Yeki, the Zurich-based musicians and long-time friends Flavio Maspoli and AndrÃ© Baumgartner (aka Espresso Del Lago) want to go beyond constricting frontiers and blend multi cultural influences and transform them into something new. The album opener "Sa Trincha" with Spanish vocals gives a nod to the aesthetics of Mediterranean chill out in a CafÃ© del Mar style. The same is true for the impressionist piano of "The World Is Yours" with Persian vocal elements and the African influences on "Digital Divide".

Finally, the Persian album title Yeki means two people becoming one - the magic that happens only in the context of true love.
