Amazon's product page clearly states the necklace is 1.6 mm in width (much like an uncooked spaghetti noodle)and 2.3 gram weight. This is obviously too delicate for a man's gold chain, yet nice for a woman. At under 2 mm width, most pendants will work.I have a long, troubled history with gold chains. Everything from thin box chains to more substantial rope chains have broken on me. Herringbone gold chains of any width have kinked irrepairably. I've even had problems with gold Singapore or snake chains, knotting, kinking or breaking on me. Because of this, I have quite a number of sterling silver chains, yet very few gold ones. Some jeweler friends have recommended Figaro, Mariner or Cuban link gold chains as being durable for regular wear, but those chains are usually quite a bit thicker-even masculine-and very expensive. $139 is more than I'd have liked to pay ($60.43 per gram). Lighter, "dental floss" gold chains truly don't hold up to wear. This chain should, and is feminine. I'm happy. Thanks Amazon!
