The earrings were a great price deal but the color leans more towards a deep gray than black. I am happy with the purchase, though.

Bought these to help make a set for my fiancee, with some other black pearl jewelry. They looked beautiful against her olive skin (don't you DARE call her Italian, she's Sicilian!- among other things) and she adorned herself in all the grandeur I had purchased for her. Course what I didnt tell her was that the whole time I was hoping the post didn't slip out of the pearl again after I had super glued it back in and tried to straighten the soft post thread wire that accompanied the pearl setting (all accomplished in the soft glow of the master bathroom lights with a Leatherman : ) I was disappointed entirely in the cheapness of the post mounting and the only merit was the receivership by the recipient. Will look for this manufacturer and avoid in the future (if it's possible).
