I bought 3 total of these for 3 young adult women. When I received my first one, I was amazed at how small they were. Delicate is at times elegant, but these are for children. I just hope the chains on them last through the Christmas holiday. :) If you order them, get them for children. They are sweet, but by no means for adult women.

The pearl is very pretty and I loved the size, however, I am very disappointed in the poor way it was attached to the setting. While wearing it one evening, it came apart from the setting and it actually fell to the floor. I was fortunate to find it. I don't believe that it is reparable as I do not know what type of glue or cement to attach it...very poor quality workmanship!!! Not worth the cost.

This necklace is very petite in all ways. The pearl is small, the chain is very delicate and relatively short. However, I don't think any of these points are relevant for taking away stars in reviewing the item since Amazon is upfront about the measurements of the necklace. I think this small necklace is well worth the roughly $30 that I paid for it, but certainly not the $100 "list price". I like it and I think it will become an everyday piece for me because it's small enough to work well with lots of outfits from casual to dressy. I'd recommend getting it for yourself or as a gift. Although the chain is very delicate, as other reviewers have mentioned, I must add that I've owned another version of this same necklace (the white gold version) with the same super-thin chain and I've worn it for about 5 years off and on without it breaking. This simple necklace is not going to "wow" anyone due it's diminutive size, but it does add a nice little touch of elegance.

*Please note: I would probably recommend purchasing a nicer gift box for this necklace if you are giving it as a gift because it comes in a relatively cheap-looking pouch and cardboard box as delivered.

Fine product at a reasonable price. But: The chain's fastener is tiny, very hard to open, going to take device to jeweler to replace the snap fastener and install a larger one.

Unless you plan to give this pearl necklace to a child or young teenager, don't waste your money. The pearl is not bad but the chain -- advertised as 18" is not even 16" long. I purchased this to wear with my wedding dress. I loved the look of this necklace when I bought it, even though it is difficult to clasp with the super miniature clasp. I bought it a month before my wedding and saved it for the occasion. It held up that day. But soon the problems ensued. First the delicate chain broke by the 4th time I wore it. I purchased a new chain for it. Then the pearl fell off inexplicably from the setting. I went to take it off and the setting was still on the chain without the pearl.... lost somewhere. I contacted Amazon about 60 days from purchase date and they would do NOTHING about their defective product as it was only good for 30 days. WOW! Thought you all should be warned.

This is a very nice piece of jewelery. Simple and elegant. The chain is a little bit shorter than I would have liked, although it is the 18" as advertised.

The pearl pendant is lovely, but the chain is way too thin. It feels like you can break the chain by pulling too hard on it. You cannot remove the pearl pendant as the chain is too large on both ends to slip it out. I had high hopes for this when I bought it, but have never worn it.

This necklace was not worth buying. The chain looked cheap and the way the pearl was mounted was not attractive. I returned it.

This necklace is very sweet and nice. Just right to dress things up on a casual spring day.
