Yellow Baby is a novel that shines a light on traditions and lore that have charmed and plagued human communities throughout history. This is a story about two neighboring but different colored tribes who are unable to reach a truce due to their skin colors and their adherence to the past. About every fifty years, a special baby, a yellow one, is born in one or the other village. Whenever these special babies arrive the villagers come together to celebrate, a coming together that throws their differences into the shade. However, the latest yellow baby doesn’t follow the tradition of changing color to that of her parents and tribes people; instead, she remains yellow. This creates a flow of events and adventures that move the tribes across new emotional and geographical terrains, and they come to face themselves in a new guise.
