The rose quartz beads are very small, not sure how they are measured to get to 4mm. Some are, most are not. They are actually very rough, faceted quartz chips so not very comfortable against bare skin. So if you have sensitive skin or prone to have sensitive areas especially around the neck and chest from time to time depending on "those" times for us women, then it is really irritating to wear this necklace other than over a full neckline blouse or shirt and thus if you were wearing for the healing qualities of rose quartz, it would be negated since it isn't touching the body. It is pretty rose quartz though, but the price for quartz chips on this necklace is a bit too much.
