I bought these for my sister whose birthstone is a ruby. I thought these were pretty nice for the price (not a lab-created, but a true ruby). The ruby itself is about 1/4" long, sizable for the price. The picture appears to be more of a translucent gem, mine were opaque. But overall, they are very dainty & pretty, & probably a good investment. I think she will be thrilled! They came the very next day after I ordered them- I am very impressed with Amazon's quick delivery!

They are pretty. They are dainty. Whooo!!! are they dainty. They are not, in our opinion, as shown in the photo. The stones on the pair we received, if compared to the size of the ear loops, are only half as big as the stones shown in the photo. You'd better be on friendly terms with anybody who gets close enough to even see you're wearing them. Also as one other reviewer mentioned, they are more opaque than they seem to be from the web page photo.

Frankly, we wanted to return them, but for the money involved it would have been really environmentally irresponsible.

Well-made, pretty earrings. The rubies are opaque but have a nice luster. A great value for the money.

These are very pretty earrings and the gems are nice, but be aware that the gem is very small - no bigger than a match head.

I was pleased when I opened the box ... the earrings have a nice reflection when the light hits them.

The stones are a bit dark, but pretty in the sunlight. My wife loved them. They were delivered quickly, with Amazon's usual care, in time for a special event.

Nice earrings...smaller than what I thought. The stones have some pink streaking or spots on them. I don't mind because it looks more authentic...not a shiny stone...look great with my every day 9 to 5 wardrobe.

These are small. Much smaller than they look on the page- BUT - They are very pretty. They happen to be the most comfortable earrings I own (and I own a lot). I am a person who is not usually able to sleep with earrings in. I hate when earrings stab me in the head. These don't! :)

As other reviewers say, the stones are very small, but not as small as a match head, a bit bigger than that... ;) They are nice little stones though, faceted and the color is somewhat red-purple. They are cute and adequate if you want a nice little accessory for your ears. I rated them 3 stars because they are on the small side for my taste, but I still think they're very nice.
