About this Medal
St. Christopher, a third-century martyr, is one of the most popular of the patron saints. His fame derives from the story when he carried a child across a raging river. As Christopher forged the river, the child seemed to grow heavier with each step, as if the weight of the world rested on his shoulders. Upon depositing his passenger on the other bank, the child (according to legend) revealed himself to be Christ and then baptised Christopher.
