When I was considering this purchase, I relied on the reviews left by those that purchased this ring before me. I was prepared to return it if I was displeased. However, I'm not at all disappointed! This ring is extremely nice and extremely comfortable. Using a digital caliper, I measured the band as being 5.93mm wide and 2.08mm thick. Visually, it seems exactly the right size for a man's hands that measure approximately 8.2 inches long from middle finger tip to wrist and 3.5 inches wide at the knuckles. The jeweler's mark inside the band reads, "BENCHMARK 18K." I completely recommend this ring.

I have this 18k ring in size 10.5; it's comfortable, surprisingly heavy, and very easily scratched. If the scratches will drive you crazy, you're probably better off with the more durable 14K flavor. I got the 18K because I wanted a ring that's mostly gold - for me, it makes a better symbol.

I needed a matching men's 18kt gold band which I promised my wife I would wear. Two local Jewelers quoted me prices of between $900 to $1,100 depending on the current price of gold, especially since I wanted 18kt and not the cheaper blended 14kt gold. The 18kt has more weight or heft to it and being a man I wanted that feeling of having real gold on me. When I checked on Amazon, I was shocked at the price and it is the very same ring. I was worried that this one would be hollow or cheaply made, but it is perfect, it came in a beautiful jewelry felt pouch to keep it from scratching. This was really one of the last bargains and almost a steal at this price.
