Tiger's eye is a form of quartz containing crocidolite that has been replaced by silica. The result is an exotic brown and yellow gold pattern with luminous bands that change in the light, resembling the eye of a cat. Tiger's eye was worn as a form of protection in battle by the Romans and is reputed to bring courage, energy, and good fortune.
