Was surprised at the size of the game for the money. Pieces are small but magnetic. Only problem I see is the dice going off the board when you roll. Perhaps a lip on the game side would have helped. For the money a great buy.

We were looking for a magnetic backgammon game to take on the beach with us, and this has turned out to be a great value. The pips are magnetic, so you can play virtually anywhere. The board has a nice, strong clasp to stay shut, keeping all of the pieces inside. Also, the red, black and silver colors of the board contrast nicely for us old folks to see in the bright sun!

I would have given the game 5 stars if...
a. the game board and pieces were larger;
b. the gameplay occurred on the INSIDE of the case, allowing you to close up a game in progress;
c. and there were some sort of more permanent pouch or container for the pieces, as opposed to the very small plastic bags.

That being said, larger magnetic sets are available, if you want to spend 100 bucks for them! Since this is a secondary set we'll use only on the beach or in the car, it's a great value for the price.
