A Wonderful Creation Book for Small Children,
By A Customer
This review is from: Yellow and Pink (Paperback)
This book is very easy for children under the age of 5 to understand. Yet, 10 year olds will like it too. I have been giving this book as gifts for many years. Perfect occasions are for baby showers, birthdays, Christmas and birth arrivals. The creation message is subtle yet obvious. You wonder why more people don't think creation just makes plain common sense. The Lord will speak to the parent's heart as they read this story to their children.

not just for kids,
By A Customer
This review is from: Yellow and Pink (Paperback)
I have to laugh when they say this book is for baby to preschool... this is for everyone! I can't imagine a better book to answer the timeless question : 'where did we come from?"... this book is another gem from Mr. Steig.

This book, in a very easy to read foremat, explains how ridiculous it is to think that the puppets were just haphazardly made by chance. It mirrors the story of creation and how just as ridiculous it is to think that human beings were just formed out of some big glob or something. It really gives credence to the idea of a master Creator. I loved the book. A great one for children and adults alike.

Great book not just for children,
This review is from: Yellow and Pink (Paperback)
Absolutely love this book! Best secular book you can get for creation studies. Too bad it is out of print and sold for outragous prices. I hope it gets published again .

Straw man for children,
By datac "datac" (Pacific Northwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Yellow and Pink (Paperback)
I have no problem with children's books that deal with controversial subjects, and I certainly have no problem with children's books that are opinionated.
On the other hand, Steig is intellectually dishonest in this presentation of a 'straw man' version of evolution. It's suitable only as propaganda for creationist parents too lazy to discuss the issue in an honest and thoughtful way. |
