Not bad...for Dipset standards, I guess, April 22, 2008
This review is from: Yellow Tape (Audio CD)
40 Cal. is the latest member of the Dipset crew to drop an album. Well, actually, I'm not sure if The Yellow Tape is a proper album or a mixtape, but I decided to give it a spin.
Now, I wasn't expecting to be blown away by anything here, especially after hearing garbage albums from the likes of Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey (not to mention Cam'ron himself), but this album really isn't horrible. At the same time, though, it doesn't really hold your interest because 40 just don't have a whole lot to say. The only songs that really stand out are "40" and the necessary end-of-album keep-your-head-up track, "Hustle Skeme".
In fact, this is one of those albums that you'll start out listening to but then you'll soon find yourself doing something else. If you're not a big fan of Dipset, B.I.F.
