If you were old enough to be aware of music in 2000, you'll remember this singsongy Radiohead-lite hit. Like everyone else, you probably loved it at first but then got tired of it quickly as it became a maddening earworm, falsetto-ing its way into the recesses of your brain with its unabashedly simple lyrics and orchestral washes.

But hey, it's been 11 years. Maybe it's time to take another listen or two. Sure, it's simple, but hey -- this is pop music, not deathless literature. Nothing wrong with an easy-to-like song.

Just don't play it too often or it'll get stuck in your head again and you won't be able to expunge Chris Martin's falsetto octave-jumping... "You know I love you so" -- aargh! There it is again! Make it stop!

This song begins with some acoustic guitar soon overlaid with a vibrant, but occasionally dissonant, electric guitar. The vocal comes in with the usual ColdPlay rendition, which for me can occasionally be a bit too nasally, but in this case works nicely with the occasional falsetto note. Discordant guitar strumming occurs throughout. The chorus is nice with some subtle harmony here and there, snapping into a fine falsetto from time to time.

I mainly listen to 90's rock like Stone Temple Pilots. This song fits well in that vein. Search Pandora for mistercain to see other songs I like. This song is on Awesome 90's rock.
