The band you should've been listening to all along..., March 25, 2005

I won't get into specifics here. Just buy this record. It's just as drunken, down-and dirty, soulful, scuzzed-out, and catchy, goddamn it, as all their other records. I can't believe this band doesn't get more credit. They continue to turn out classic songs for the man who feels life just ain't right. Cheater Slicks have always felt like like my close friends I could turn to in my most bitter (or happy...works either way) times. I do my best to spread the gospel to who all who will listen.

If you love the Scientists, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, Rolling Stones, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Pussy Galore or Velvet Underground you need to check out the Cheater Slicks. This is an excellent album. Urban garage art delivered crypt-style with spooky, howling guitars and vocals, primitive beats and riffs. Another impressive record from the Cheater Slicks!
