About the Author
Simon Buckingham worked for Vodafone for six years in various areas of the company - EPlus in Germany, value added services, quality, marketing, packet radio, personnel. He then set up and managed the Vodafone Business Partners Programme for 18 months before leaving Vodafone to travel more widely as Global SMS Manager for Brightpoint, the world's largest distributor of mobile phones.
In January 1999, Simon founded Mobile Lifestreams Limited to add value to value-added services and evangelize the development and deployment of non-voice mobile services. He has written books on SMS, WAP, GPRS, 3G and other topics and regularly speaks at conferences and appears in the press speaking about these and other related topics.
