Take no notice of Marc Greilsamer,
This review is from: Yes (Audio CD)
If you like modern country, you'll love this album. If you are stuck in some elitist rut like Marc Greilsamer and some of the other Amazon reviewers, don't buy it. I bought this album a day or two after it came out, and ever since the first time I put it into the player on my van, the only time it's been back in its jewel case is to take it from house to car, etc. Highlights for me are "yes", hey mister", "she does" and the last track, "if I were you". The album is definitely better than "Chad Brock", which was itself good enough that I had no hesitation in buying "Yes". So go on, treat yourself.

First I thought that, like in most CDs, only the first track was good. But finally, every single song is just great. I can't stop listenning to that CD! I still don't know why Chad Brock isn't all that popular!!

Better then the last!,

This CD was definatly better then his last one. The songs "The Visit" and "Hey Mister" made me cry, and I love the remake of "A Country Boy Can Survive" Chad Brock needs to put more like this one out. I highly recommend this CD.

This CD is absolutely great!,

I don't know where this reviewer is coming from, but he is way off. I agree with his assessment of "A Country Boy Can Survive," but that's about it. The lyrics of "Yes" and "This" are just fine. Leave it up to an overly critical reviewer to analyze two or three lines and call it a bad song. Also, these aren't the only songs on the album, so don't call it a bad album based on what you think of two songs. I found the whole album quite good. I liked "Yes", "Hey Mister", "The Visit", "Love Lives (Events Of The Heart)", "This", and "You Had To Be There". My favorites were "Young Enough To Know It All" because of the nice banjo work and it also describes what most know-it-alls experience. Also there was "She Does". That is such a great song. It's also nice to hear an uptempo song that isn't less than three minutes long. Nice song to play for the one who means so much to you. I also like the duet with Mark Wills, "If I Were You". It is also a great song, but it is a little short. I think he did a heck of a job singing on this CD. Sung with emotion, which is a must in order to stay in my collection. Good job, Chad. Keep it up!

Excellent!,

Chad Brock has a very good voice. His latest album is excellent. My favorite song on the album is "A Country Boy Can Survive (the Y2K version)", followed by the title track "Yes!" The duet with Mark Wills "If I Were You" is a very powerful and touching song. I enjoyed the whole album. I hope Chad Brock is around to stay.

Good album from one of the best new singers,

In my opinion, Chad Brock is one of the best, if not the best, new country singer from the last couple of years. This album is no exception as it features some great country songs such as "Yes!," "Young Enough To Know It All," and "A Country Boy Can Survive." I especially like "Young Enough To Know It All" because to hear my parents talk and a few other people, it describes me at this stage in my life. And anytime I hear the song, "Yes!," it gets stuck in my head for a pretty long time.If you like great country music, this album is definitely one you can't miss. Every song from start to finish is a potential hit.

Chad Brock's sophmore album just shows that his career is headed into the stratosphere. The title track has a catchy beat and there's not one song on this album that I don't like!If you want a GREAT value for your buck, then this is the one to buy!

Good upbeat album! "Yes!" is a terrific song that really shows the excitement of love; it really gets you going. I also love "A Country Boy Can Survive"--we played it on New Year's Eve and it was perfect! The "If I Were You" duet with Mark Wills is also an awesome song, very moving. A definite keeper!

Great CD - Kinda Canned,
By A Customer
This review is from: Yes (Audio CD)
I both agree and disagree with the main review of this album. The album is indeed canned - fake drums - or at least a studio drummer who had probably never heard the songs before he went into the studio - boring guitars, etc etc. But the songs themselves are great. Maybe it's poorly produced but I still find myself singing along and enjoying the music. It is quite a shame that country music has slipped so low but it still is a lot of fun.
