This is the best album of Ray Charles' work ever made. The minimal production work (by today's standards) of this recording allows for the most raw, and the richest aspects of humanity that is portrayed so perfectly in song in Mister Charles' voice. This is America in 1958. This is voice representative of every social movement that was about to unfold and become the country we live in today.

This album embodies the essence of honesty, anguish, and joy of a true masterwork.

Yes Indeed is the most electifying album Ray Charles made, though Ray Charles In Person gives it a run for its money. Most of this stuff isn't found on compilations, which tend to feature his later hits with ABC Paramount -- great stuff, certainly, but nothing as ferocious as this. This music will knock your socks off.

Stop being so caring and kind and do something for yourself by adding this masterpiece to your collection. This review isn't really needed seeing this is a product of Ray Charles but I'm gonna do it for the sake of the undecided buyer since there are so many cd's to choose from. This is a actual album of Ray's re-released on cd, not a compilation. That in itself makes this a sho nuff purchase in my book. These songs are from the tenderloin of his career and among some of the best. If anything buy it for the song "Talkin' 'Bout You" which is a hard one to come by and is never seen on any compilations. You will not be disapointed with this buy, it is a must have for anyone who understands what good music is.

This is one of the best CDs I've ever owned. Love it, love it, love it. It's the old Ray Charles that I remember listening to in "the good old days". Would recommend it to anyone who loves Ray Charles and liked his earlier work.
