Yesterday's Promise,
This review is from: Yesterday's Promise (Second Chance at Love) (Paperback)
Awesome book!
I've been reading Vanessa's book since she first started. I still have a tee shirt she autographed which had her first book on it. I enjoy all her books, which left me wanting for more. Yesterday's Promise was special for me, because it really hit home. I know it is fiction, but Yesterday's Promise really ministered to me and has me wanting to read it again. It ministered to me about forgiveness, past hurts and broken promises. You can feel God's word is in this book and his healing hand also. This book is refreshing, enjoyable, you can feel the pain and the healing! Hat's off to you Vanessa. Let God continue to use you. Francine

I was really pleased with this book. This is a new author for me and she definitely has a wonderful talent of writing for God, and spreading His message. Vanessa Miller really captured my heart with the characters she turned out in this book. I immediately felt a pull to Melinda and her struggles, and as I read on, sweet Brianna came into the picture and I felt another immediate pull to her, too. The messages that Ms. Miller sends through this book, of relying on God, of letting go, forgiving the past, and second chances, is just truly amazing. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, but especially to those of you out there who need a gentle reminder that it's okay to forgive, and move on, and to even find a second chance at happiness and rely on God. A most definite 5 star book and author! Well done!

This review is from: Yesterday's Promise (Second Chance at Love) (Paperback)
I'm a fan of Vanessa Miller's novels and when I heard she had a new book out, I had to read it. Being a PK (Pastor's Kid) I could relate a lot to Melinda Johnson in the book. I love reading books where I feel I'm actually a character in the book, and with this book I was. I highly recommend this book and all of Vanessa's books, because they are worth the money and your time!!! Can't wait to the sequel!!!!

I am an avid reader of Vanessa Miller's books. Yesterday's Promise rates right up at the top along with her other books. The story of Melinda's struggle to be accepted in ministry that is dominated by males and her inability to forgive is a story that most people can identify with.
As a woman in ministry, I was reminded that God's words does not return void. If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it. The characters of Yesterday's Promise will melt your heart... Definitely a must read novel.

I've read several of Vanessa Miller's books and liked Forsaken and forgiven much better than this book. Overall this was a decent read.

Very refreshing, spiritually & faithfully! This is my first with Vanessa Miller and i have to say that i truly enjoyed it. I loved the fact that it was not too pushy of a religous book, just the right amount for me. Great reminder that in order to continue with a happy inner being you must forgive. This made me want more from this author and i will be looking in the future for Miller.

Good reading on dealing with forgiveness,
This review is from: Yesterday's Promise (Second Chance at Love) (Paperback)
I thought this was a good story. Sometimes Melinda got on my nerve a little, but I did understand how she would have felt betrayed and hurt by her father and Steven. Steven was clueless sometimes, but I am glad that he came around. I thought her father was funny. The book gave alot of scriptures and it taught alot of lessons on forgiving others and yourself.

I thought this book was amazing. I finished it in 1 day. Nothing's better than a story that can teach you something about love, life, religion, and relationships. Time for me to start the next book from her!

This is the first book that I have read by Mrs. Miller. I was introduced to her novels when she came to my church. I just finished Yesterday's Promise. It was a real page turner for me. I loved the characters even though some upset me, I still enjoyed reading about their transformation. I saw myself in some of the characters as well. The story is well written and it has a powerful message about forgiveness that we can all seek to grow from reading about it. I'm looking forward to reading more by Mrs. Miller.
