Product Description

The YetiTundra 65 cooler is a heavy-duty generalist, equally adept at keeping your catches cold in the field or serving as the drink-and-food hub for a tailgate, party, or other times of general revelry. This ice chest is plenty roomy, holding the recommended 39 cans, a keeper redfish or a small quartered deer. Whatever you choose to chill, you know this top-quality cooler will keep it cold longer thanks to 2 meaty inches of insulation and it's cold-keeping gasket. Dry ice compatibility allows you to keep everything frosty even on your longest excursions. Need your YETI to serve as a hunting cooler one weekend, a marine cooler the next, and a party cooler right after? Don't be afraid to mix it up: the durable polyethylene material can stand up to a variety of tasks again and again, and the integrated, self-stopping hinges scoff in the face of excessive use. The handles are made from marine-grade nylon rope with textured grips for easy carrying, even fully loaded. If you're taking the Tundra 65 out on the water as a marine cooler, don't forget that it makes a great casting platform in a bay boat. And as a hunting cooler, the grizzly-proof design gives you peace of mind in bear country. Although it tends to frustrate the bears.
Note: All Tundra models come standard with one dry goods basket.

I have no clue what the other reviewer is talking about - this is a one piece, roto-molded bear-proof cooler made from the same material as competition quality kayaks. Yeti has patented their own technology - pressure-injected insulation uses TWICE the amount as regular coolers. Full body seal and interlock system ensure your items stay COLD!

My friend has one of these - if you throw down some foil, pack it with dry ice and frozen ice water, and allow the cooler to get cold overnight BEFORE you pack it we've found you can keep food frosty for 7-10 days. Try THAT in a Coleman brand stainless steel or cheap-o Wal Mart clearance cooler.

I would recommend this for hunters, fisherman, avid car campers & hikers, survivalists and preppers. You can throw it on the back of your ATV or tow it from a bicycle - at 27 lbs. backpackers should look elsewhere.

Love my Yeti. Got it as a gift. First weekend I put 20lbs of ice in it on Friday with a load of warm beer. Put the cooler in the back of my jeep and went up into the mountains. Next day went to a wedding and dumped more beer into it. Cooler was constantly being opened by everyone at the wedding rehearsal. Third day took the yeti on a long adventure day keeping the groom busy. Kept 7 guys happily supplied with frosty beer all day though we did have to restock. After the ceremony that night we finished up most of the brew. Tuesday rolled around and I had left the cooler outside since the wedding. Looked inside and there was still ice floating in the water. I was impressed. 5 days of being opened and closed all day long with tons if warm drinks being dropped in and 20lbs of ice held out. Worth the money if you doing the types of things yeti advertises their coolers doing. Though I suggest you buy bigger then you think you need and try to always have a friend to help carry.

Best coolers in the world, ice last so much longer and I leave in very hot place rounding about 115 F, very well made, all pieces can easily be replaced and found in local stores, you are buying a cooler for your entire life.

Pricey IMHO but keeps ice cold will usually take about 4-5 days for ice to melt in room like temperatures. Expect less 2 or 3 days when outside in heat and sun. Overall good sturdy and durable product. I will give it 4 out of 5 stars because of price. Also check out Pelican and Icey Tek coolers, cheaper and also good products.

I needed a coolers to keep some meds from getting hot over a long weekend camping trip. This box was my best buy as I still had ice four days later.

The cooler was packed with 2 milk jugs size of ice and one liter size early on a Thursday morning. Late on Sunday I pulled the ice jugs out to give to another camper so they would not have to buy any for their next day. With only one jug left and a three hour drive home, my meds, food, and water were still chilled to the touch. It seems once you get this box cold, it really stays cold. Thank you for making this product.

I can keep ice in this cooler for almost a week without melting. Yeti makes the best coolers - period! I know they're pricey, but the price is worth it.
