Product Description

The Yeti Tundra 45 Cooler is their customers' top choice because of its versatile 26-can recommended capacity and easy portability. And of course this cooler is infused with that legendary YETI toughness - made from roto-molded polyethylene, it's UV resistant, heavily insulated and damn-near indestructible. The durable, marine-grade nylon rope handles with textured grips let you easily haul your Tundra 45 camping cooler on short trips and quick hunting excursions. It's also great for a day on the lake due to its molded-in tie-down slots and non-slip feet, and will even stand in as a casting platform. Like all Yeti Coolers, it's built to be grizzly proof, making it a must-have cooler on your next overnighter in bear country. Note: All Tundra models come standard with one dry goods basket.

My brother bought me this cooler for my birthday and Christmas present. Wow. Nothing compares to a yeti! i have been packing coolers for 20 years and I have learned more about the proper packing of a cooler since I got this yeti. IF you follow the tips they give you this cooler will hold ice for days and even over a week(longer in colder temp) The tips apply to any type of cooler. But No other brand comes close to having the durability of a yeti. It is indestructible. I have owned over a dozen coolers and none of them last more than a few years without looking like crap and falling apart. The 45 quart is a great size. It's small enough to handle by yourself even when fully loaded. My brother has the 65 quart and you really cannot carry by yourself if it is fully loaded. I would be willing to bet my cooler that the reason that one guy gave this cooler 1 star when his Coca Cola and ice melted in one day is because his cooler wasn't cool or cold when he packed it. Plus he probably didnt come close to filling it. Open air inside a cooler is one of the biggest reasons ice melts prematurely. Yeti makes extra thick insulated walls and lids so it really helps to prep it by cooling the inside. I usually throw a couple frozen water bottles in the night before if I know that I'm using it the next day. I found that it will hold around 30 cans of beer with ice for several days no problem. Longer depending upon conditions . I just returned from a 4 day canoe trip in direct sunlight and 80 degree average daytime temp. There is still ice in my cooler, and all my food leftover is still cold. Everyone else on the trip was drinking warm beer and there food was bad. It's basically a portable refrigerator when used PROPERLY! Oh...and you can use dry ice for incredible long term cooling.Read more ›

I just purchased the 50 quart cooler and still have ice in the cooler after 3 days. Most of the ice has melted; however, there is still a lot left. I expect to have ice in the cooler by at least tomorrow afternoon (4 days). The outside temperature has ranged anywhere from 90F down to 68F at night. I really like the cooler; however, it is definitely a luxury item. Unless you seriously need a great cooler, I wouldn't recommend that you buy a Yeti. However, if you do have the money and you want a really awesome cooler that could possibly last a lifetime, a Yeti or Engel is probably the way to go. We mostly use our cooler for soccer trips and family camping and canoe trips - works great for us but definitely not a must have. Hope this helps!!

Spending this amount of money on a cooler is crazy; I waited a year and went through two other coolers before I bit the bullet and bought one. It is not very convenient to carry, I wish it came with wheels like my Igloo. The only downside is that in order to get the max Ice retention ability, like you would need before a car camping trip during hot weather, it needs to be seasoned with Ice a couple of days before you leave. Two days before we leave I buy a sacrificial bag of Ice to get the cooler to temperature. The day we leave I empty it, put in a fresh bag, it holds about 14 pounds of ice, depending on cube size, and the ice will frozen for 6 days! As I would expect with a cooler of this size and construction it is very heavy especially when full.

Very nice cooler. I expected to save $70.00 in ice this summer, but I am already saving money. The seller was great and on time. The only thing to be aware of is the naming. For example, 35 does not mean quarts. This cooler is only 28.8 quarts.

I purchased the Roadie and it's just ok. This product is very over rated and extremely over priced. Mine keeps ice for about three days not the five days that they advertise. There are other products on the market that work just as well a fraction of the cost. I am a professional fishing guide and constantly evaluate outdoor products.

Grear cooler. Keeps ice for days as stated.
Would recommend this cooler to friends & family. Just wish I had bought this cooler years ago before wasting money on others.

Chill the cooler down first. I use two 1/2 gallon plastic containers filled with water and then frozen. Then, I add about 1/2 cup of salt to the containers. This lowers the freezing/melting point enough to frost the outside of the containers.

When I get ready to pack the cooler, I remove these 2 containers and replace them with 4 just like it (with the salt added) but fresh out of the freezer. Then I pack the cooler. Two 1/2 gallon containers on each side of the cooler will keep items cold, really cold, for more than 3 days. Note, this is for the 120-quart model, not the 45 qt.

Also, I bought a little fan that runs on D batteries. It circulates the air inside of the cooler--it's worth the money.

Great cooler. I'll buy another but smaller. Maybe the 45qt one.

I bought this Yeti cooler for my husband and he loves it! The ice lasts about a week in fairly warm temps. Ice would melt in a day in his old cooler. I would definately recommend this cooler.
