Really enjoy this DVD,

If there is something that involves relaxing in bed, then I'm all for it. So when I saw this DVD, I wanted to try it.
The DVD is divided into two parts: morning poses and evening poses. There are about 15 poses for each part, making each part take from 15 to 20 minutes to complete. I really like this DVD and the concept. It would have rated 5 stars except for 2 items. First, the pace of the DVD seemed rushed to me. You didn't have enough time to get into the pose, relax and breathe. The DVD moves quickly from one pose to another. You can overcome this by keeping your DVD remote close and pausing until you are ready to move to the next pose. The next problem is that the camera view on some of the poses didn't show the moderator's entire body. If you have done yoga before, you can figure out what you are supposed to be doing in the pose, but if you are a yoga newcomer, you might need a little more information on the poses. As for the DVD's strengths, they had a great variety of poses for you to try. They also have a section where you can go directly to certain poses, so if you don't want to do the entire morning or evening part, you can create your own routine by selecting certain poses. Keep in mind that you will not become a yoga guru by using this DVD, but it is a nice, relaxing way to start or finish the day. I received this DVD as a gift from my wish list, but after getting the DVD and using it a couple of times, I would still have purchased it for my own use.

I've been curious about yoga for a long time--wanting to improve my flexibility, increase my energy, and relieve built-up tension in my back and shoulders--but I was intimidated by images of leg-behind-the-ear pretzel poses. This DVD got me past my fear of yoga. Set in a colorful and calming bedroom, the DVD offers twists and stretches with playful names (Coffee Cup Meditation, I'm a Little Teapot Stretch, Morning Juicer) that are easy but effective. Both sets of poses (10 in the morning and 10 in the evening) are narrated and demonstrated by a charming young lady over soothing, Eastern-style music. In only 10 to 15 minutes, I can reset my mood and tackle the day...or unwind at night before sinking under the covers. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to jump-start the day or get a good night's rest.

I travel plenty for business and feel a bit uncomfortable getting on hotel floors to workout, not to mention I am usually too darn beat to get into a workout. YOGA IN BED is the greatest solution and I get to stay in bed a bit longer...always an extra bonus! The morning routine really get the juices flowing and is a great start to the day, the evening wind down really quiets the mind and brings blissful sleep! Pick this little gem up...you won't be sorry.

I can't say enough nice things about this DVD. I first owned the book and enjoyed it very much, but the DVD really helped me better understand the poses and techniques. It's very easy to use; you can play it straight through like a workout DVD, or you can go though it and review certain poses. I feel so much better in the morning after doing this and sleep better at night, too.
While the creator is a highly trained yoga instructor, he does a good job of brining yoga down to the level of someone who has less experience. The moderator's voice is so calming and there's never pressure to do more than you can - the message throughout the DVD is to do what you can and what feels right - encouraging us to learn to understand our own bodies. I keep this in my DVD player regularly and still continue to use it even after having it for some time. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to feel more energetic in the morning and relaxed at night to invest in this DVD and the small amount of time it takes to get the results!

After owning the book of the same title, I had to get this DVD. The demonstrations of each pose have really helped me to clarify techniques and maximize my yoga experience. I really appreciate that I can choose between watching the entire routine straight through or can select specific poses to review as I need to. As a teacher, I know the difference between someone who is skilled and someone who is skilled to teach, and the author of this program is definitely an excellent teacher. He knows how to break more complex poses into steps, to give thorough explanations, and to use a light-hearted approach that's very conducive to the relaxation yoga should promote. At several points during the video, the "students" are encouraged to make the poses work for them and are given suggestions for modification, rather than being pressured to conform strictly to the experienced teacher's method. The author also presents some interesting background information on yoga in general. I'm very pleased with this and hope to see more from this author!

This video is wonderful and easy. If you're out of shape and want to start doing yoga... this is the video for you!! I've tried several other videos but they were too difficult because I was so out of shape. This video proves that you can do yoga anywhere.

I was hoping for a yoga routine I could do along with the leader in my small trailer. The routines and production are excellent, but you have to memorize the routines instead of just following along. They show you how to do them once but don't do the repetitions. I guess you could stop and start the video but that kind of gets you out of the mood. Not a useful DVD for my purposes
