Book Description

July 1, 2006
Promising to bring peace, healing, and wholeness (even prosperity!) to its practitioners, readers will be shocked to discover that yoga is, in fact, based on the worship of (and prepares participants for supernatural connection with) unholy spirits that manifest in extraordinary and dangerous ways. The author-an avid promoter of biblically based physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness-distinguishes pure truth from popular belief in this revealing expose. Every Christian should be informed of the true origins and effects of the practice of yoga and its ungodly roots in Kundalini energy-which, literally defined, means an awakening of the "Serpent Power."

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book, November 23, 2010

This review is from: Yoga and the Body of Christ: What Position Should Christians Hold? (Paperback)
I wanted to learn all I could about Yoga. I found it here in this book. Dave Hunt has throughly researched this topic from a Christian viewpoint. It answers the question about what position Christians should hold on Yoga and Christian Yoga.

Is there such a thing as Christian Yoga? Can Yoga be used only for exercise? Dave answers these questions and more.

My daughter (who is a physical trainer) asked me about Yoga. I sent her this book. When you read the evidence that Dave reveals you realize that Yoga is Hinduism.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Yoga for exercise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revealing, June 16, 2011
This review is from: Yoga and the Body of Christ: What Position Should Christians Hold? (Paperback)
This little (undersized) book reveals how yoga is permeating the western cultures and deceiving many people including Christians. Its occultish roots promote brainless, unBiblical meditation which allows demonic spirits to enter into ones body and hallucinations result. The author shares a number of testimonies from people who were and are involved in yoga and the results are terrifying (literally). Hunt provides proof that this type of meditation is synonymous with LSD trips (a common drug used in the 1960s) and other pharmaceuticals. An excellent book for anyone thinking that yoga is harmless or knows someone who is involved in yoga or mystic practices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yoga: the largest missionary organization in the world, November 19, 2007

Hunt's book is thorougly documented. He demonstrates without a doubt that yoga has its roots in the occult and Hinduism. He also shows how yoga is really the largest missionary organization in the world, being the entrance door for people to get interested in Hinduism. Naive people think it is just a health program, when in reality occult techniques like mantras and meditation are surely to follow.

Hatha yoga, the one with the physical exercising, is just a tiny part of yoga. A Christian who deals with yoga would be like a Hindu who would enter a Catholic church, kneel in front of an altar and play with rosary beads because it is good for the fingers' joints. He would be totally immersed in the Catholic environment but thinking this was an exercise for the hands.
