About the Artist
Martin (OmSan a.k.a. Maz) was raised in Bonn, Rheinland, Germany. In his family, music was recognized as a joining force between peoples, cultures and individuals, transcending the artificial borders by the universal harmony evolving in shared musical activity. Early introduction to musical life was through grandfather Dr.Willy Engels, who organized international choir-festivals as Chairman of the Singers Federation and believed in the transcending and unifying power of music. Second important childhood influence has been elder Brother Peter. Martin was exposed to the music of the 60's/70's at early age. He began performing in bands as keyboard-player, drummer and vocalist in 1977. For several years, Martin performed with African Hi-Life Bands (Soyla, Rex Gyamfi etc.), and produced his first couple of LP's with Rex Gyamfi ("Rex Gyamfi" and "Hi-Life For You" on DreamVillage Records), who is a well-known star in Ghana nowadays. Together with D.Kessler, former drummer at 'Günter Lenz Bigband' Berlin, he started his own studio in '83, where he recorded the demotapes of H.Grönemeier's "Bochum/Männer", later the best selling German single ever. He also recorded three LP's for the well-known German painter A.R. Penk ("Westkeller"-Series), and composed for TV and Radioprograms. His band 'X-Maz' recorded for EMI, and their song "Big Shot" (AMA Verlag) was published worldwide on a sampler with artists as Joe Cocker and Tina Turner ("G.George is Schimanski: Zabou"). Maz also developed creating personal music for people, an intuitive process combined with paintings of his wife Ankie Caspers, which they labeled "Personal SigNatureA®t". Over the years, he also wrote music for theater-plays, TV scores, relaxation and meditation purposes. With the Harmonic Convergence, Martin became a pioneer in Ambient and NewAge Music in 1987. He developed 'Personal SigNature~Music Creation' as he grew spiritually and established the SigNatureArt~Productions together with Curtis Knight, former mentor of Jimi Hendrix. Studies in the Sound Current, Suradh Djabdh Yoga, TheWork® of Byron Katie and A Course in Miracles since 1991 helped him develop his true empathy and listening capacity. Martin is also hosting Internet- and Local Radio Shows. Serving through dedicated Art is Martin's Ministry.

Product Description
A flowing, dreamlike endless breath of Yoga healing music with soft gentle East-West instrumentation, such as sitar, flute and keyboards. A great CD for Meditation. Surajit Das plays a masterful Sitar improvisation over the blend of various soundscapes created by Martin Weber-Caspers in this unique first time collaboration of these 2 artists. Recorded in the Netherlands now released by Only New Age Music in the USA.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT YOGA ALBUM, September 27, 2007
Martin and Surajit Das are masters of what I would call ideal Yoga music. It is very expansiv and relaxing but inspiring at the same time. I also like how it picks up rhythmically with the last track. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR YOGA, December 27, 2005
A comment from a listener in the Netherlands (Ankie): "WOW, this is a terrific Album, bridging East and West, soothing and supporting meditation. The Raga's with contemporary orchestration have a healing and rejuvenating touch. I would recommend this album to anybody who is into Yoga, meditation and worldmusic." I completely agree with my friend Ankie. This album was composed and produced by Martin Weber-Caspers who also hosts a radio show in Flevoland every Sunday called "Tonkunst". The AUM Orchestra consists of Martin and the brilliant Sitar player
