I have tried yoga and was a bit discouraged with the difficulty in poses. I have PD and when I used your video I couldn't believe how easy you made it seem and also I did not lose my balance. Your calm demeanor and perfect instructions make this a great addition to my daily routine.
Thank you so much. You are an angel!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yoga for movement disorders review April 16, 2012

I really enjoy this DVD. It is calming, informative and helps me stretch my muscles and at same time maintaining balance which is a problem for me with regular yoga. I have Cervical Dystonia and feel this DVD is a great tool for anyone with limited mobility from their disease or those who need a slower paced exercise routine due to fatigue.

5.0 out of 5 stars finally I found something I could use March 4, 2013

Remaning active, mobile, and at peace with my body is very important to a Parkinson patient. I have looked at and tried so many different things but, until I received this DVD and began to use it, I saw no improvement in that area. The author is patient and it is so helpful to find someone who has PK and understands the symtoms. It is worth a million to have it to help me stretch and be at peace with my body.
I would reccomend this to anyone with any type of movement disorder.

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC ! June 4, 2012
Verified Purchase
I really enjoy the DVD. It doesn't take much of my time to do it 3 times a day. It's worth every penny spent, which isn't very much compared to other DVD's. I took the DVD to my doctor. He was impressed and told me to keep doing it 3 times a day. The deep breathing has helped with anxiety and the yoga moves with the cramping.
Thank you for putting this product out there for PD community.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and Thoughtful Program April 18, 2014
This DVD and accompanying book are fantastic tools for teachers and students alike. As a teacher, I met with Renee to discuss working therapeutically with clients with movement disorders. Her knowledge, kindness and thoughtful approach are shown in her teaching and come across in this video as if she were in the room with the student. Because of her approach and the clear, concise descriptions of movement and breath on the DVD, a student can easily flow along with the teachings and simply glide into fullness of the yoga practice. With the comprehensive nature of this DVD including AM, PM and short sequences, there is something for everyone and every body. After all that's what yoga is!

5.0 out of 5 stars Still learning November 26, 2012
Verified Purchase
Having previously been a bodybuilder for over 15 years. I was diagnosed with Dystonia a movement disorder. I fought hard to keep with the gym as that was not only my hobby, in reality it was my life. I ended up having to give up. Finally, was able to get proper diagnosis after much progression. No way to stop it, no cure. So, I thought this Yoga thing might help. Nothing else has, physical therapy, Medications. I am still trying to learn yoga technique, and change what I am used to bodybuilding.... I think there is a learning curve there. Relaxation vs pushing through and using muscle strength. So, I am taking it slow. So time will tell. The DVD is well done! Easy to follow! I would recommend.. Highly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Here's How! August 23, 2014
Verified Purchase
This DVD goes with the book of the same title and might even suffice by itself. Sometimes it not only helps understand the exercise to see it in action, it also is encouraging. You think, Oh I can do that if they can. There is also the good old monkey-see-monkey-do principle.
Where there is movement disorder there is often fatigue and/or pain. Anything is worth a try to combat those. I recommend this DVD.

The movements are good but not really for my disorder. The sound is to low and should be a little bit louder.
