5.0 out of 5 stars Effective and useful
I recently ordered several yoga DVD's in an effort to help reduce my neck and shoulder pain. This was the most useful of the bunch. Lillah spends time to explain the proper position for each pose and provides alternative poses if it is too painful. She also includes several new positions that I have not found on other DVD's targeting neck and shoulders. The pacing is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Have the Flow I Hoped For
I tried both this dvd (Yoga: Relief from Neck and Shoulder Pain) and one by Gary Kraftsow called Viniyogatherapy for the upper back, neck, and shoulders each for the first time this week. Maybe it is just my style, but I prefer the Viniyoga so much more! It has a flow to it, while being very clear in it's instruction and it's simply pleasant to do. This one is too slow...

I recently ordered several yoga DVD's in an effort to help reduce my neck and shoulder pain. This was the most useful of the bunch. This one is too slow for me, yet with less clear instruction. I grew bored with it early on. Plus, it did not have as therapeutic an effect for me. If you are a beginner, though, you might appreciate the ultra slow pace here.

4.0 out of 5 stars In-depth instruction for healing, October 27, 2010
By
Was in a car accident and injured my neck, and I found this very helpful. Healing is a process; this disc gives lots of information and poses that will help me on my path. I especially liked the in-depth instruction, and the close ups that show the correct way to do the exercises, followed by the wrong way. The instructor is obviously well-trained, and these exercises helped. Looking forward to doing them often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for alternative rehabilitation, May 7, 2011
This disc was perfect. I have three herniated discs and a rotator cuff injury. The pace in this video is for recovering people and it works wonders. The pace, the alternative instructions for poses and the instructor are great. I had to start slowly and work my way up and this is the disc for that. If you suffer minor stresses in these areas it may not be the disc for you. However if you are a person coming off of an injury (whiplash, Disc problems, torn rotator etc) this is the way to go. The poses are such that you can stop in the spot of the pose that is safe for you and gradually get into full poses it's awesome.
