I LOVE this DVD! She does a great job of balancing strength training with stretching. There are a ton of IT band and deep hip stretches which are both areas that I tend to have problems with. She is not cheesy in the least, which is so refreshing for a yoga DVD! She explains the benefits of each stretch for running. I do this 2 times a week regularly and use my favorites after a run when I don't have time for a full yoga workout. The end of the DVD gives recommendations for which stretches make a good "mini" session. I also like that she explains things that your body may want to do while in a pose that are not proper form so you know what to be mindful of.

I didn't do the beginning program because I have done some yoga at the gym. I was looking for something to work out my IT band issues. This has given me some great stretches to do, plus it explains in detail and gives modification for all of the other stretches I need to do but don't without someone telling me to. It was pretty long, but worth it. They do give a quick version, but I have not done it yet.

Good workout, too long,

I bought this DVD with the intention to add a yoga workout to my routine 1-2 times a week. It is a great workout for runners and hits on some of the most important areas to strengthen and stretch, including glute and hip strengthening and piriformis, hamstring, and ITB stretches. This is in line with the exercises given to me by my PT to combat my ITB tightness and support correct alignment of the ITB. However, I find that the video runs a bit too long for me to fit the entire thing into my week often. I'm not sure of the exact length, nut it runs well over an hour. Also, it advertised a short workout version, but the only short workout I found on the DVD was just a list of suggested exercises to do when short on time, but not an actual workout with the instructor.Overall, I would recommend this video to others looking to balance and improve their running.

Great for runners!,

I have been running at least 15-20 miles a week for about 7-8 years, and was almost at the point last year where I thought I was 'done' with running. My back and legs and hips were so tight, and I was beginning to get plantar fasciitis. I was really afraid my running days were over. I truly think this DVD is a life-saver! I could tell a difference during my run after I did the Intermediate DVD once! I am doing the DVD twice a week and it is wonderful. It really makes me feel lighter during the runs, and I am not nearly as exhausted after a long run like I used to be. I also feel like can run faster and more efficiently, with a better stride and more relaxed breathing during the runs. I feel the biggest difference in my hips and hamstrings, which now feel energized after running instead of achy and tight. I truly think it's all because of this DVD and how it stretches everything that running makes tight. I am recommending it to all my 'runner' friends. Some of the poses are a challenging at first, but it gets easier the more you do the DVD. It also makes me feel very relaxed and calm. It is an amazing addition and compliment to running. BUY THIS DVD!
