About the Author

My name is Charry Morris and my yoga journey started when I was 19 years old, using yoga to cross-train for my professional soccer career in Japan.

I became so hooked on yoga and its benefits that I became a certified yoga instructor, and started teaching in 1999.

I rely on my yoga practice to keep me sane through the daily challenges of motherhood and whatever life may throw my way.

I continue to notice and welcome the physical benefits of yoga into my life, especially after gaining 60 pounds with each pregnancy!  But, what I enjoy and look forward to even more is the mind-stilling, centering, psychological benefits of yoga.  If I start to feel out of sorts, inept as a parent and partner, fat, insecure, or overwhelmed by life, I fall back on what I have learned through my yoga practice.

Since starting to teach yoga in 1999, I have studied with the top Yoga Instructors around the world including Aadil Pahlkhivala, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, and many, many more.

I have been published in the Elephant Journal, taught at most of the yoga studios in Vail, Colorado and currently direct the yoga program at the Cascade Resort where my class was voted the Best Yoga Class by the local newspaper, The Vail Daily.

I find myself teaching everyone from US Ski Team Members to weekend warriors to individuals looking to release stress, lose weight, and gain flexibility.

My passion for yoga and all of its benefits is so strong that I want everyone to be able to try it. It is simple, straight forward, and challenging.  It can be transformational on all levels.  I hope The Yoga Weight Loss System benefits you and your life!

I would have to greatly disagree with the one star review. This book is full of tips of how to use a healthy diet and yoga for weight loss. I personally liked the author's style of writing which felt personable and informative. I think this is a great book for those intimidated by yoga.
The author gives you plenty of information about the program and yoga before she delves into the actual material, so that you are fully informed before you start this program.I also liked the author's positive outlook and encouragement that is sprinkled throughout the book.

A few friends have told me to try Yoga for weight loss, and it always scared me to death. After seeing the positive results one of my friends has had using Yoga, I decided to investigate further. I found this book, and I think I'm not so intimidated by Yoga anymore. I think the author has done a really good job of explaining what Yoga can do for you, and how to implement it in your life for weight loss or just to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I, too, have to disagree with the negative review. I felt like the author was talking to me, not down at me, and this author doesn't have the condescending tone to her writing like so many other exercise books do. I felt like the author was right there, talking directly to me, and I like that.

The book is packed full of information, both about the program and yoga itself, plus the author is very encouraging throughout the book. I highly recommend to anyone like me, who has been intimidated by Yoga in the past. I feel like I can actually do this.

I started taking yoga classes in April and I am always looking for book on different forms of yoga. What I liked about this books was that there are pictures of each of the poses to help the reader see how it should be done. There are various routines in the back that the reader can use to do yoga daily without an instructor. The book is very helpful and begins with helpful tips on how to live the yoga lifestyle. I recommend this book for those that would like to start doing yoga and making it a part of their daily life.

It becomes very clear as you read through this practical and straightforward guide that Charry Morris has a passion for her work! This is a nice enjoyable read, and would make an excellent starter guide for the beginner. If you are looking for motivation to help you reach your goals, The Yoga Weight Loss System is a great introduction.

No matter what your situation is today, this book will put you on the right path to better things. Yoga offers tremendous physical and mental benefits for all ages. I'll be keeping this book on my digital bookshelf and continue to use it as a handy reference guide. It's simple, straightforward and jargon free.

I would recommend this book as an excellent de-stressor and much more besides!

Do not buy this book you r wasting ur money as too much editing errors and little info....I have other yoga books but this is the worst e book I have e er had....
