Yoga Zone: Music for Yoga Practice

The music is exactly what it claims to be -- good music for the practice of yoga. I've been working out with it regularly for about a month, and I find that the music helps me focus on the exercise without being as distracted by what's going on in my apartment. The music can be described as "new age" and somewhat "digital". It is not music I would normally listen to, and I think I might find it annoying as background music at a party or if I were reading a book. But it is, in fact, great music to listen to when doing a yoga workout.

I'm a yoga instructor who was very disappointed in this CD as far as it being a music to practice to. The music for me felt all wrong for my own practice - the sequencing, the pace of the music, the song selection by Windam House. It felt more like easy listening music, but not quite right for a yoga practice (even a slow flow practice). For me, the music has to fade into the back ground while I'm practicing - this just grates on my nerves. My classes didn't care for the music and complained that the music was distracting for them as well. I recommend Planet Yoga (both CD's are wonderful- Disc 1 for faster paced and Disc 2 for meditation or slow flow) and Yoga Rhythm.

However, for just playing at home while cleaning, or just relaxing it's alright. I don't think it's anything to get excited over.

When searching for music to practice Yoga at home I was lucky enough to find this CD and one other hard to find CD ... I was very happy when I listened to this CD, this music makes the flow of Yoga positions very easy, and soothing for meditating. I highly recommend this CD for your Yoga music collection. This was my first time buying from AMAZON.COM and will continue to look here first when looking for the hard to find items. It was diffenently worth the money!

Great yoga CD - lovely mix of sounds - well suited to different audiences, one of my favorites. While some yoga music is more like elevator music this CD suits any relaxing mood, whether you are doing yoga or relaxing at home.

I found this a great cd for practice as it allows me to block distracting noises from outside my apartment and focus on what I am doing. It is good to relax with at night when I have trouble going to sleep.

I love this CD. It is soft and creates a nice environment. You fell totally relaxed. Great for Yoga, for meditation or simply for helping people to fall asleep. I strongly recommend you to have one even if you don't practice Yoga

While looking for music to do my own practice, this is the first CD that flowed for me and made me comfortable. Very relaxing CD to listen to anytime.

I say good not great, but great in the world of Yoga CD's is hard to come by. Very difficult to find a CD that carries your soul off and never loses sense of rhythm, tempo, or theme. This CD is rock solid good, not the greatest, but a good filler for your collection.

Great yoga/meditation music! My mom just couldn't get into the "average" type of meditation music, but she uses this CD a lot. She finds it very relaxing.

I am a Yoga instructor of many years. I love and use this CD often. I highly recommend it. You will love it.
