While this mat is sticky to the touch and is a great thickness to cushion my bad knee, it is Terrible for hot yoga! It's slippery without sweat, but as soon as you get slightly damp, watch out! Furthermore, I do hot enough yoga to sweat a lot and the mat just soaks in some of it and then has these wet super slippery spots. My down dog becomes a danger zone. I'd keep it for low key in home use, but not in the studio. I have washed it several times and valiantly used it for a month to see if it would get better and no luck.

I love that this mat is good for the environment and even though it says it is biodegradable it is not falling apart or losing its bounce.
And because it has the closed cell technology even on cold winter days the temperature from the studio floor does not reach me.
It is nice to have a product that not only cares about us as consumers but also for the process in which it is made and for the after effect it has on the earth.

This is an interesting mat but I really like it.
It has this textured surface which actually is really great to help my hands and feet from slipping.
The material is neat too.
It has a nice touch about it perhaps because of its environmental aspect.
