I purchased this product in hopes of getting some extra length since I'm 6'2" and got exactly that! The extra thickness also helps when some of my yoga classes are at a center with vinyl flooring. I'm now searching for a yoga bag that will accommodate the extra length!

I was really happy to find a mat of this size. However, with just a little bit of sweat my hands start sliding out from underneath me very badly. It grips the floor great; it doesn't grip me. Going back to using my weight equipment floor protector things (those padded square puzzle pieces you can get at Home Depot). Still searching for the ideal solution.

I bought this product to block any disturbance
to my apartment people when I use my wii fit.

This product is great in doing that. I also occasionally
go out to fields for Yoga. This mat is long and wide enough
to make me do some stretch exercises without going off the mat.

Its thick enough to protect you from any dew or wetness the field may have
if you are using in outdoors.

While it feels a bit odd to rate a mat as "excellent" -- after all, it has no moving parts, isn't a work of art, it just lies there on the floor -- I'm giving this five stars because it is exactly what it says it is and what I needed: extra wide, extra long and extra thick. I use it for yoga and other floor work, including ab workouts.

Yes, it came out of its wrapping smelling a bit like a petroleum product. But I simply unrolled it and hung it up on my back porch overnight (on an unseasonably cold, 40-degree evening) and the odor was, for all intents and purposes, gone. Unless, of course, I'm lying face down with my nose literally touching the mat -- but, under such conditions, I've never met a yoga mat or towel or hardwood floor that didn't smell just a little funky. Sorta comes with the territory, y'know?!

Although I didn't do an exhaustive search, this was the only extra-wide, extra-long mat I could find. It was reasonably priced and arrived promptly. Once I began using it I saw that it is nice and tacky so that I'm not sliding around in my socks during different exercises on the mat.

The only reason I couldn't give this five stars was that I've had it for several weeks now and it still has a plastic-y smell.

I actually don't use this mat for yoga, but for acrobatic exercises. And it is a great mat for that purpose because it is extra wide, extra long, extra thick, and shock absorbant!

This mat is terrific for several reasons. I love the extra length and extra width, even though I am only of average height and and smaller in stature for a woman. I do not slip off the mat, and do not end up on the floor, even in wide stretches. It is a bit heavier than a smaller mat. But, that is a tiny negative when compared to the many positives.

I am big (over 6'2") and the regular Yoga mat just didn't fit me well.

This mat is really big and I can easily do downward dog on it without having my legs or hands out of the mat. I do sweat a lot so I am also using the Yogitoes mat cover to help me with slipping over the mat.

It is a great product.

i use this to warm up and stretch before my workouts in my new home gym, and i am very tall 6'6''- this mat is great. thick and has greqat traction (not a slider)- very pleased

I used this mat for barely a month when it started to fall apart and leave little blue bits of rubber all over my apartment. Now it has a hole in it. If you are doing heavy cardio workouts, like Insanity or P90X, beware this mat cannot stand up to the challenge.
