I am not a tea connoisseur. I just started drinking herbal
teas about a month ago. However, since then I have tried many and this is one of my favorite. At first I did not like the medicinal smell. But, the tea taste great. It is a spicy cinnamon licorice flavor, more than sarsaparilla. If you don't like anise(black licorice)taste, do not buy this tea. Instead try the Yogi tea Cocoa Spice. It is sweet and delicious. It's my favorite. The reason I drink Detox is because it does seem to have some detoxing benefits. Also, I feel extremely relaxed after drinking this tea. It really calms me, without making me tired. I am not sure what herb is doing this...but it is almost as good as a glass of wine! So far, I like Yogi tea better than any I have tried. It is worth the extra cost for a great tea.

The taste of this tea will take some getting used to - it's a bit peppery and warm, and you can taste a tiny bit of licorice in it. Sounds disgusting, I know, but it isn't bad - just...odd. I've heard that it helps with recovery from colds and mild illnesses, though I haven't tried it for that purpose myself. As for the "detox" effects, they're extremely mild and you likely won't notice any physical difference (except for increased energy, perhaps).
