Good durable Shuttle,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Yonex Mavis 2000 Nylon Championship Tournament Shuttle (Misc.)
This is a very good shuttle if you are looking for durability. The flight is very near to a feather shuttle, but it falls just a bit short because there is nothing like the weight distribution of a feather shuttle from which you get better control and feel.
I would recommend this shuttle for beginner to intermediate level players who are looking for recreation, as well as, good value for the money they spend.

Not much change,

They are just like the old ones, but more expensive. I'll suggest sticking to 300,350,500, whatever is the cheapest.

Too light and too fast,

The shuttles are quite durable but they are a little too light and too fast for my liking. I have played with the Mavis 350 shuttles and I prefer those. If you don't mind shuttles which are significantly lighter and faster than the feather shuttles, these are worth buying. Otherwise, you might want to consider the Mavis 350.

These are well balance, durable, and have a good speed (not too fast, not too slow). Worth the money.

Not the same as feather,

The 2000 has a better flight pattern than the previous Mavis's due to its slightly better deceleration during smashes. In all practically, the 300/350 is essentially the same but cheaper, so there's not much reason to get this. Either way, plastics still do not emulate the feel of a feather bird.

Too Good !!!,

I wanted to buy feather cocks and I searched a lot for them in Yonex. But didnt find them in the stores so i got to see these in Amazon and thought let me try. I was amazed at the flight of these and the quality. We almost played for 3-4 hrs (2-3 days) but the shuttlecock looks still new. I would highly recommend them for practice and any competitive games. You will enjoy playing with them !!!!

Good quality shuttles, but tend to be a bit brittle after a good hitting. It should last you for atleast 10-15 games, if not more. It is CERTAINLY a good substitute for regular feather shuttle cocks - but not the best in the market yet !!!
The shuttles tend to be more heavier than the regular Mavis 350 / 300 series, but are worth it's weight ;)

This product is good and durable for the most part. Just like anything, it doesn't last forever. Eventually it will break.

actually the ball is in good quality, but what i really want is real shuttle instead of plastically made. so ....but that's what you exactly want, the quality is really good with no doubt.

Yonex Mavis 2000 shuttlecocks review,

I purchased 2 of these from Amazon. Since the shipping for these two items were low compared to other websites I have been to, it was a great deal.
These shuttle were durable and had excellent control when played outdoors. If you like to play badminton outdoors under days without wind, this is a really good product. Not only would you get great durability, but the sound of the shuttle upon impact is crisp and clear. The shuttle does last long for beginners, but for intermediates and professionals who smash often, This shuttle could last like 3-5 games of play with each play lasting about half an hour. So you get to play for two and a half hours if you smash a lot properly. If not, the shuttle does last long. When I looked at the shuttle, the shuttle has a unique characteristic different from other shuttles, it has a durable thickened wing rib below its "plastic feathers"' this serves the shuttle's function to be more smooth in flight and is said to enhance the true smash characteristics of a feather birdie. In addition, it has great feel when playing with it. Overall, I think this is one of the best quality plastic ones I have ever used. |
