4.0 out of 5 stars Durable shuttle
The Mavis 350 is a good shuttle for beginner-intermediate level players who are looking for recreation and fun. It is durable and lasts for around 10 times more than a feather shuttle. Personally I feel the Mavis 2000 has a slightly better flight than the Mavis 350, but some of my friends see no difference. They are unwilling to spend the extra 2 dollars.(hee....heee..)...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for casual play
The speed of this shuttlecock is faster than feather ones for sure. However since it lasts forever and it is relatively cheap, I would recommend it for people who only play casually. Definitely not recommended for people who takes the game seriously.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best I have found for the price, July 20, 2007
The Mavis 350 yellow has proved to be a very good product. It is the first plastic shuttle cock I have ever used that lasted more than 2 games without falling apart - in fact I am still using the first one out of the can. 15+ matches and not a crack, split or break.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Shuttlecocks I've ever used for a boisterous backyard game, April 20, 2009

I am a fairly casual, yet aggressive, badminton player. I used to use cheap plastic shuttlecocks, which lasted for about one of two games before they fell apart. When my boyfriend and I finally decided to try a better instrument, we opted for these real cork headed ones... and we've been using the same shuttlecock still, in about our 40th game. It is incredible how well they have lasted. 6 months and we haven't destroyed a single one! I'm going to buy my parents a set for their anniversary, and if we ever manage to use up this set, we'll buy another for ourselves as well. We are not professional users, but we put them through enough of a workout that I can fully endorse the quality. As for the flying, I have not enough comparison to state whether it flies true. But I won't ever go back to cheap shuttlecocks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good substitute for feather shuttlecocks for badminton practice, March 4, 2009
This review is from: Yonex Mavis 350 Plastic shuttlecocks (Misc.)
At first, it seems that the base is slightly heavier and the skirt lighter as compared to feather shuttlecocks. Once you continue on playing with it though, you won't even realize that it's made of plastic. It soon starts to feel like the real thing. As expected, it is durable and would last you through several practice/training sessions and even games. Set aside the feather shuttlecocks for tournaments and more serious matches, and use this for all your other badminton needs. It's going to save you some money.

This item arrived quickly, and as described. I was pleased with the quality of this product. So far, this product has done well with the matches we have played. We have some aggresive players, so I believe these shuttlecocks will last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for practice, June 30, 2011

My friends and I killed quite a few feather shuttlecocks, them especially with their tennis serves. But these hold up a lot better than the feather ones. I mean the feather ones fly better and all, but they are expensive and get damaged easily, especially if you don't know what you're doing.

So these nylon ones with a cork bottom fly better than the cheaper shuttlecocks with a rubber bottom. Overall, I'm happy with them and I trust Yonex. It's true that you can get them cheaper in stores, but it's really convenient to get stuff off amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty much invincible!, May 18, 2011

These shuttlecocks are awesome. I have been playing with some budget feather shuttlecocks which get their feathers smashed off pretty easily. These shuttlecocks seem to have a better bounce (from the cork) and just all-around feels great when playing with them. I have used plastic shuttlecocks in the past which get destroyed in 3 games or so, but these have no visual damage after 5 games so far. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mavis 350, May 13, 2011

I believe the Mavis 350 provides a good balance of durability and playability. It's faster than 300 (which is too slow to my liking) and slower than 2000 (too fast to my liking). Price is decent and would last you over several games. Save the feather shuttles for real game and use this for casual and practice games. My favorite plastic shuttles for sure.
