This is a fun read-a-long book that your child will quickly memorize and want to read with you. It's full of fun pictures and animal sounds for you to make. My four year old grandsons favorite is when the cow says "Moo Hoo" to the moon. Your child will love it and so will you. I have to read it again and again for Josh.

I'm surprised and saddened that this charming book seems to be out of print. I teach young children and I'm always seeking books for read-aluods that have chants or songs which children can join in with. Children love singing, "Yoo-hoo, Moon" and making the animal sounds. They also love to guess what the lights are that the animals mistake for the moon. I highly recommend this book.

His mom and I also found this to be enjoyable, even after many bedtimes. This was the best of many library books we read last year - we checked it out so many times it made more sense to buy it. Lots of nicely-drawn, characterful animals; simple metric parallel-structured verse that is varied enough to stay fresh; useful as noted for bedtime; good paper and general construction. I expect this will be valuable again for teaching reading one of these days.
