Tim Sullivan's book covers an important period in NYS Political History -- the period from the years when Nelson Rockefeller was governor until the last 1970s when the Republican Party had moved away from Rockefeller Republicanism to meet the challenge of the NYS Conservative Party. Based on thorough research Sullivan's presentation is (as far as I can tell) both complete and accurate. His writing style rarely interferes with the story. Anyone involved in NYS politics or government will benefit from knowing this chapter of NYS history.
